Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assess patient oral health status using current dental terminology and diagnostic tools. Deliver general dentistry services including cleanings, fillings, crowns, and preventive care tailored to individual patient needs. Conduct specialized procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and aseptic technique. Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret results to inform treatment plans effectively. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health. Collaborate with team members using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Requirements Valid state dental license with eligibility for part-time practice. Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management. Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance standards. Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other complex procedures with confidence. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and effective communication. Prior experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment is preferred.
