Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and comfort Take and interpret dental imaging such as X-rays while ensuring adherence to safety protocols Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Dentrix. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Proven experience with dental office management software on Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards Experience working in pediatric dentistry or with pediatric patients is highly desirable Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining patient comfort Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices for documentation review Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and foster trust with patients Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, medical terminology, and dental records management Join us in making a positive impact on our patientsâ lives through expert care and compassionate service.
