Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using advanced dental imaging techniques. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate modern orthodontic appliances such as braces, aligners, and retainers. Perform procedures related to dental fabrication, including fitting and adjusting orthodontic devices for optimal results. Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, endodontics, and periodontics. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards. Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to ensure successful outcomes. Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and related dental fields by participating in ongoing professional development. Experience Proven experience as an Orthodontist or in a similar specialty within a dental clinic or dental office setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to orthodontic treatment planning. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for efficient documentation and patient management. Demonstrated ability to perform dental procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other general dentistry practices when needed. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable to effectively manage young patientsâ needs and foster positive experiences. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging procedures essential for safe practice.
