Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative support with professionalism and efficiency. This role is essential in creating a positive patient experience while maintaining smooth office operations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers. Handle patient check-in and check-out processes accurately, including intake and documentation review. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management. Process billing and collections, including medical collections and coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes. Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately. Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized dental records. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and insurance procedures. Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Meditech, Epic, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred. Proficiency in medical billing, coding (ICD coding), and documentation review processes. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; typing skills including 10 key typing are essential. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Prior clinic or dental office experience with medical administrative support is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices.
