Role Description This is a part-time/ full-time, on-site Dental Assistant role located in Williamsburg, VA. The Assistant will support the dentist with daily responsibilities chairside during dental procedures, taking x-rays, scheduling appointments, updating patient chart/record, coronal polish, flossing, entering treatment plans, posting procedures, sterilizing instruments, equipment, and rooms, follow infectious disease control protocols (OSHA) and HIPAA guidelines. The Dental Assistant will collaborate with the dental team to support smooth patient flow, uphold quality standards, and contribute to a welcoming office environment. Qualifications Strong clinical support skills in Dental Care and Dental Assisting, including chairside assistance and patient preparation. Foundational knowledge of Dentistry and Oral Care, with the ability to follow treatment plans and provide basic patient education. Proficiency in Sterilization and infection control procedures, adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional, patient-focused approach. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience preferred; current certifications (e.g. BLS, CPR) are a plus. X-Ray certification is required, Comfort using dental practice software and electronic records or willingness to learn. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties associated with chairside assisting.
