Duties Perform a wide range of dental treatments including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing dental terminology and medical records to develop effective treatment plans. Utilize dental imaging technology and anatomy knowledge to diagnose dental issues accurately. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Document medical and dental records meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards and HIPAA privacy rules. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness. Experience Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic or dental office environment with a focus on general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgeries is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry is essential. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques required for safe clinical practice. Prior experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric dentistry settings is a plus.
