Start Your Career in Orthodontics! My Orthodontist is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Records Technician / Entry-Level Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the dental and orthodontic field while working in a fun, fast-paced environment. No orthodontic experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate. However, an active New Jersey X-Ray License is required. Position Summary The Records Technician plays a vital role in the new patient experience by collecting diagnostic records needed for treatment planning. This team member will be responsible for taking digital X-rays, photographs, scans, impressions, and assisting with various clinical duties while ensuring patients receive exceptional care. Responsibilities Take panoramic, cephalometric, and other diagnostic X-rays Capture intraoral and extraoral patient photographs Perform digital scans and impressions (training provided) Prepare records for doctor review and treatment consultations Assist clinical team with patient flow and treatment room turnover Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols Ensure accurate documentation and charting Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment Provide outstanding customer service to patients and families Travel between Bayonne and West New York offices as needed QualificationsRequired: Active New Jersey Dental Radiology (X-Ray) License High School Diploma or GED Reliable transportation Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred: Dental assisting experience Orthodontic experience Bilingual English/Spanish Experience with digital scanners and dental software What We Offer Paid training in orthodontics Opportunity for career growth and advancement Supportive and team-oriented work environment Hands-on experience with modern orthodontic technology Opportunity to work with an established and growing orthodontic organization Why Join My Orthodontist?
