Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and maintaining accurate documentation in systems such as Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach to ensure comfort for younger patients. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when applicable, enhancing the quality of patient care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with familiarity in general dentistry practices. Proficiency in managing medical records and utilizing dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and safety regulations is essential. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, showcasing the ability to work well with children. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism at all times.
