We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, detail-oriented Dental Assistant who takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care. Because many of our patients experience significant dental anxiety, empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skills are essential. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms for patient care Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments and equipment Clean, stock, and maintain operatories and clinical areas Assist the doctor chairside during endodontic procedures Monitor and support patient comfort throughout treatment Welcome and seat patients while creating a positive and reassuring experience Obtain medical histories, vital signs, and diagnostic radiographs Maintain accurate digital records and charting within practice software Support office organization, cleanliness, and efficiency Assist with inventory management and supply organization Maintain CPR certification and assist in ensuring emergency equipment and medications are current and readily available Participate in continuing education, training programs, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred Willingness to obtain Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification (provided by the practice) Exception may be made for Sterilization Technician applicants Previous dental assisting experience preferred (1–2 years) Familiarity with dental software, digital radiography, and electronic charting preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and comfort Benefits Paid continuing education opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Ongoing training and professional development Performance-based bonus opportunities Schedule 3–4 days per week Approximately 6-8 hour shifts Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience Bonus opportunities available Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred At Mind Over Roots, our mission is to provide exceptional endodontic care while creating a calm, personalized experience that helps patients feel comfortable, respected, and cared for.
