Then I have the job for you! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team on Tuesdays (or Tuesdays and Wednesdays). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved through professional hygiene services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. We are a small group and really want someone to be a team player. We like to have full lunch hours and get out on time and that works when everyone helps out! You won't be asked to clock out if there is a patient cancel, we have plenty to do around here. We are open Mon-Thurs, 7:30-4:30 M-W and 7:30-1:30 on Th. New Grads are welcome to apply! Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical history and vital signs. Document findings accurately in patient records using Open Dental. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Skills Proficient in taking vital signs and performing documentation reviews. Familiarity with Open Dental software for patient management. Ability to manage medical records effectively. Competence in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental care, Carestream software with digital x-rays and CBCT. Strong interpersonal skills for assisting patients and collaborating with the dental team.
