Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper infection control protocols are followed Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term health Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment plans, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy Ensure aseptic technique is adhered to at all times, following infection control standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic environment Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices Experience providing pediatric dentistry services is highly desirable Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding dental care!
