Duties and Responsibilities Conduct initial dental assessments and interpret patient dental records. Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the management of oral diseases. Educate patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Collaborate with dentists to plan for patient care and treatment for oral health concerns. Ensure strict compliance with the office’s hygiene protocols, standards of dental care, and infection control measures. Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation as per the practice’s requirements. Utilize dental radiography equipment safely and effectively according to the established guidelines. Provide support and insight into the comprehensive dental care plans tailored to patient needs. Recommend products and devices for improved oral health maintenance. Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care. Requirements Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license. Strong communication and patient education skills. Experience with Open Dental software preferred. Solid understanding of periodontal disease management and hygiene protocols. Comprehensive knowledge of infection control standards and clinical documentation requirements. Previous experience in a dental office environment preferred. Possess a friendly, positive demeanor that fosters a cooperative and collaborative team environment. Ability to handle dental instruments and equipment with precision and care.
