Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing top-quality treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth-running clinic. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for each appointment Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques Provide chairside assistance by handling dental tools, suctioning, and maintaining patient comfort throughout procedures Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with experience in chairside assisting across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Familiarity Open Dental Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, iTero, and Zoom Whitening Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Knowledge of medical terminology and coding related to dental procedures for accurate record keeping Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry or specialized fields like endodontics or prosthodontics is preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry for increased efficiency Join us to make a difference in patients’ lives through compassionate care and technical excellence!
