Valentine Dental Clinic is an established dental clinic, and is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our fun, fast paced team. Our office has digital images, I-CAT 3D imaging, the most current cerec machine, and many other modern technologies. The job opportunity is in the heart of the Sandhills and has an abundance of recreational activities for the outdoor enthusiast. hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, beautiful golf courses, and Merritt Reservoir are just a few nearby outdoor activities. There are excellent education opportunities for children. Valentine also has a very up to date and newly remodeled hospital with lots of new technology to serve our community. The position is Full-Time, Monday through Thursday, 8-4:30. Competitive wages. Sign on bonus as well as moving expense reimbursement are available. Responsibilities · Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination · Sterilize dental instruments properly · Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history · Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis · Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) · Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) · Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures · Take X-rays or dental impressions · Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) · Maintain documentation and charts on each patient · Monitor supplies Skills · Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role · In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) · Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment · Outstanding communication skills · A patient and friendly personality · Attention to detail · Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job · Diploma in Dental Hygiene · Valid licence to practice Benefits: · Disability Insurance · Employee Discount · Flexible Schedule · Paid Time Off · Professional Development Assistance · Relocation Assistance · Tuition Reimbursement Schedule: · 8 Hour Shift · Day shift · Monday to Thursday Benefit Conditions: · Only full-time employees eligible Company's website: · valentinedentalclinic.com Work Remotely- NO Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
