Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the orthodontist in various procedures and ensure the smooth operation of the orthodontic practice. Duties: - Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatments - Take and record patient medical history and vital signs - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care - Perform dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed - Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - X-ray certification preferred - Proficiency in dental software, for appointment scheduling and record keeping -Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures - Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
