Duties Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and patient assessments to determine individual needs. Conduct dental cleanings using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and comfort for patients. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and diet recommendations to promote long-term oral health. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials to practice legally. Proven experience in general dentistry. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control techniques, and aseptic procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
