Responsibilities Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols. Take X-rays as needed for patient assessments. Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to optimize patient care and clinic efficiency. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies. Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required. Basic understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
