Overview Our dynamic dental practice is looking for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist and a Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient health and confidence! Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health in patients of all ages Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Conduct patient assessments by recording vital signs, medical history, and dental concerns to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office protocols Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control standards Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to foster long-term dental health Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for precise communication and recordkeeping Experience working with pediatric dentistry patients, demonstrating patience and effective communication skills tailored to children Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with infection control procedures, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Excellent patient care skills with a focus on assessment, empathy, and clear communication to enhance patient comfort and trust This part-time role is paid â offering an exciting chance to advance your career in a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in dental care.
