About the Role This part-time position is ideal for a compassionate, patient Dental Assistant who has a natural ability to connect with children and put young patients at ease. You'll work alongside a collaborative, supportive dental team dedicated to delivering outstanding care in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities CORONAL POLISHING (CERTIFICATE PREFERRED) Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including pediatric appointments Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Perform expanded functions as permitted under Georgia state dental law Take and process X-rays (digital preferred) Educate patients (and parents) on oral hygiene and post-procedure care Maintain accurate patient records and update health histories Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment per OSHA standards Support front desk and scheduling tasks as needed Contribute to a positive, team-oriented office culture Requirements Expanded functions dental assistant (EFDA) certification or equivalent Georgia credentials CORONAL POLISHING (CERTIFICATE PREFERRED) Demonstrated experience or comfort working with pediatric patients Current CPR/BLS certification X-ray certification Flexibility with scheduling — availability to adjust hours as the practice grows Strong interpersonal and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Team-player attitude with a positive, can-do outlook Preferred Qualifications CORONAL POLISHING CERTIFICATE Bilingual — Spanish and English (strongly preferred) 1+ years of dental assisting experience Experience in a pediatric or family dental setting Why Join Us?
