Oakland Pediatric Dentistry is looking for a NEW pediatric dental assistant to join our growing practice. Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner. - Perform routine cleanings and x-rays. - Maintain a clean and organized work area. - Coordinate with other receptionist and dental assistants to ensure smooth operations in front desk and treatment rooms. - Assist with special projects and events as needed. Requirements: - Previous experience as a dental assistant in a pediatric setting is a MUST. - Excellent note-taking skills. - Proficient in using Open Dental software. - Strong work ethic with attention to detail. - Ability to effectively communicate with parents, children, and individuals at all levels. - Comfortable working in a computerized environment. - Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Summary As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will be essential in providing high-quality preventative dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and safety during cleaning, x-rays and exams. Reporting to the dentist, you will utilize core skills such as chairside assisting and knowledge of dental terminology, while also taking notes into Open Dental software.
