Job Summary Established private PPO dental office in the Valley seeking a motivated, personable General Dentist to join our team part-time. We are a long-standing practice in a prime location with a large, loyal patient base and a steady flow of patients. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Your expertise in general dentistry, combined with your passion for patient care, will contribute to creating a welcoming and professional environment. Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft to document medical and dental histories, treatment notes, and progress reports accurately Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions in clear, understandable terms Collaborate with team members on four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient medical records and sensitive information Requirements Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry in the designated area Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging, infection control procedures, and dental fabrication techniques Experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred Skills in pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and oral surgery are a plus. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and thoroughly Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards for accurate record-keeping Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting.
