Dental Assistant â Periodontal Office Albuquerque, New Mexico Our growing periodontal practice is looking for a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a private specialty office focused on providing exceptional patient care in a professional, modern, and team-oriented environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, and values teamwork, organization, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Assist the doctor during periodontal and dental surgical procedures Prepare and disinfect operatories before and after treatment Take digital radiographs and CBCT scans Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA/HIPAA compliance Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions Set up surgical trays and maintain clinical supplies Assist with charting and clinical documentation Support smooth patient flow throughout the day Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive work environment Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred Periodontal or surgical assisting experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate X-ray certification required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of MacPractice / Apple preferred What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience PTO and paid holidays Health benefits 401(k) Vision benefits Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth and continued learning Schedule Full-time Monday â Friday If you are passionate about patient care and want to be part of a positive, specialty-focused practice, we would love to meet you.
