Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. As a key member of our oral healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental hygiene, a passion for patient education, and excellent communication skills. The position is temporary or part-time. Responsibilities - Perform routine dental hygiene treatments, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing. - Conduct oral health assessments and provide personalized recommendations for patients. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health. - Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. - Utilize Dentrix systems to efficiently manage patient records and scheduling. - Collaborate with the dental team to develop comprehensive treatment plans. - Participate in pediatric dentistry, providing gentle and patient-centered care for children. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and medical terminology. - Demonstrate expertise in medical documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate and thorough. Requirements - Associate's degree in dental hygiene or related field. - Current licensure as a registered dental hygienist in the state. - Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records management. - Experience with HIPAA compliance and medical documentation. - Proficiency with Dentrix systems or we can teach. - Experience in pediatric dentistry, including providing gentle care for children. - Familiarity with medical terminology and aseptic technique. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
