One of the few dentists in town! You can expect to... Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Assess patient oral health status through visual examination and medical history review. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) while adhering to infection control protocols. Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures to ensure patient safety. Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations. We are looking for... Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix -- We can train you!!! Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and medical coding related to dental services. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members.
