Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and assisting with various clinical procedures. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a patient focused environment. Hourly rate will be based on experience. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Curve, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to maintain a safe clinical environment. Monitor and record vital signs before procedures to ensure patient safety during treatment. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, supporting dental coding and billing processes as needed. Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive services Experience New grads welcome â we provide excellent mentorship CPR/BLS certification Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance is essential. Experience with digital charting and intraoral cameras a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, dental records management, and documentation review processes is important for accuracy in patient care documentation.
