Hybrid Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator Mission Bay Professional Center 4501 Mission Bay Dr. San Diego, CA 92109 Pay: $25.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Join a Brand-New Dental Practice! We are excited to open a modern, patient-focused dental practice in Mission Bay and are looking for an energetic, dependable team member to fill a Hybrid Dental Assistant / Front Office Coordinator role. This is a unique opportunity to help build a practice from the ground up while gaining experience in both clinical and administrative aspects of dentistry. ResponsibilitiesClinical Dental Assisting Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Assist the dentist during procedures Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards Prepare and break down operatories between patients Provide exceptional patient care and education Manage dental supplies and inventory Front Office Duties Welcome and check in patients Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries Schedule appointments and manage the provider schedule Verify insurance benefits and explain treatment plans Process payments and maintain accurate patient records Assist with patient recalls and follow-up communications Support practice growth through excellent customer service Qualifications Required: Dental assisting experience Current X-ray certification (or ability to obtain) Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable and punctual Preferred: Experience with dental practice management software Front office dental experience Insurance verification and treatment presentation experience Experience in a startup or growing practice environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Enjoys both patient care and administrative work Thrives in a team-oriented environment Takes initiative and enjoys helping build systems and processes Provides a warm, welcoming experience for every patient Wants to grow with a long-term practice Benefits Competitive hourly pay ($25/hour) Opportunities for professional growth and development Supportive team environment Modern technology and equipment Opportunity to help shape a new practice culture from day one Apply Today If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact in a growing dental practice, we'd love to hear from you.
