Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Sandusky, OH
## Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care. ## Responsibilities - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist the dentist during procedures as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays - Maintain accurate patient records - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices - Perform laboratory tasks as needed ## Qualifications - Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus - Proficiency with Dentrix software preferred - Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations - Familiarity with medical records management and medical terminology - Ability to operate 3D scanners for dental imaging - Understanding of general dentistry procedures and terminology - Strong organizational skills to manage office systems effectively - Anatomy knowledge to assist in dental procedures Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 â 34.0 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Sandusky, OH 44870 (Required) Work Location: In person
