Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with aseptic technique. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take digital X-ray images accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft ; document treatment details precisely in medical records. Create Treatment Plans, present and help patients get financed through Sunbit and Care Credit. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care. Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Support infection control practices by following strict protocols for sterilization and handling of medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners and CBCT Assist with medical coding and documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare standards. Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices tailored for pediatrics when necessary. Experience 3-5 years prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and infection control is required. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft enhances efficiency in managing patient records. Assisting Front desk with phone calls and scheduling as needed. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology ensures compliance and accurate documentation. Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners is desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health combined with aseptic technique ensures safe practice standards are maintained at all times.
