Job Overview: Dental Assistant Job Overview We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting the dentist during a variety of dental procedures while ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, operating suction equipment, and providing chairside support as needed. Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the dentist. Perform patient assessments, including recording vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative instructions, and preventive dental care. Assist with dental laboratory tasks, including pouring impressions and trimming models. Maintain compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols. Ensure a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment. Qualifications Previous dental assisting experience preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Familiarity with dental insurance and treatment coding is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification is required.
