Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Assist dentists during various procedures using chairside assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry, taking vital signs, and preparing dental materials Operate and maintain dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental history, treatment plans, and medical coding Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and uphold strict infection control standards consistent with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices using clear dental terminology Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing medical records, processing insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy standards Requirements Eaglesoft experience preferred Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist and team player capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting Knowledge of medical terminology related to prosthodontics, and other specialties is a plus This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in both clinical assisting and front desk operations within a vibrant dental practice.
