Overview We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Office professional to join our vibrant dental team! This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while ensuring smooth daily operations of the dental practice. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient service. You will serve as the first point of contact, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. Your proactive approach will help foster a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team behind the scenes. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at all times. Schedule appointments efficiently using Open Dental. Verify insurance coverage and benefits. Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage financial transactions with precision. Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Handle phone inquiries using multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Review documentation for accuracy, including medical history forms, treatment plans, and insurance information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and health information management standards. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures. Familiarity with dental practice management software. Solid understanding of insurance verification processes. Excellent computer skills. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines using multi-line phone systems effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse patient population effectively. Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office management practices is highly desirable.
