Dr. George Shinn is a highly skilled Endodontist with over 45 years of practical experience with the diseases of the pulp. We specialize in root canals. Our service is one of a kind, focusing on creating the most comfortable and pleasurable experience possible. Our areas of expertise include: Pulp caps, pulpotomies, root canal therapy, root canal retreats, apexification, apicoectomies, retrograde fillings, root amputations, hemi-sections, incisions and drainage of abscesses. We are located in Westchester, California near LAX. EndodonticsLA strives to provide outstanding endodontic treatment by utilizing the latest modern equipment, such as: The Gentlewave for improved patient care. The Gentlewave procedure provides a better cleaning, less-invasive alternative to standard root canal treatment. Dr. Shinn’s practice also uses the latest: · Microscope tech · Ultrasonic · Rotary systems · Paperless operating systems · Online referral and registration, to streamline the patient’s experience and to achieve outstanding care. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm. Closed on weekends. Dental assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the Endodontist in the delivery of quality oral health care and are valuable members of the team. The position entails: · Reviewing patient’s health & history form · Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment · Assisting the doctor on all Endodontic procedures · Taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) · Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and · Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment · Cleaning and setting up operatories. · Managing all dental supply orders · Communicating with the office manager constantly about the schedule and recommended procedures or recalls. · Must be Bilingual in Spanish · Our office uses Easy dental and Sopro. Previous dental assisting experience and being familiar with our office software is preferred but not necessary. Your commitment to patient care is the key to our success.
