Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, tartar, and stains using advanced instruments and techniques. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status to inform treatment plans. Utilize an EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system, Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient visits, medical records, and treatment notes. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Valid and up to date CPR/BLS, OSHA, and HIPPA certificates of completion. Experience in dental office settings, preferably with exposure to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping and billing processes. Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while maintaining professionalism. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow. Join us in creating healthier smiles!
