Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Conroe, TX
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. We are a family run practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting, infection control practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Pay is starting at $15 per hour, but is based on ability, the more experience and expertise the higher the starting pay will be. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays). Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in medical documentation. Manage patient records and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance during various dental treatments including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing dental clinic operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while maintaining patient comfort. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
