Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) using advanced equipment while adhering to infection control protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable Assist the dentist during procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and support medical coding processes for billing purposes Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state certification New grads are welcomed Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control standards (aseptic technique) Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health, dental assisting procedures, and medical records management Ability to perform comprehensive patient care including patient assessment and documentation review Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives by providing top-tier dental hygiene care!
