Traveling Orthodontic Assistant (RDA) â DFW Area Full-Time | Competitive Pay + Benefits + Mileage Reimbursement Are you an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who enjoys working with patients, building confidence through beautiful smiles, and being part of a supportive team? We are seeking a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to support our growing orthodontic program across multiple dental practices throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This role is ideal for a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused professional who enjoys variety in their workday and is comfortable traveling between offices. The ideal candidate is organized, positive, and passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience. What You'll Do As a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant, you will work closely with our Orthodontist to provide high-quality clinical support and ensure efficient patient care. Responsibilities Assist the Orthodontist during consultations, treatment appointments, and follow-up visits Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for patient care Take diagnostic records, including digital X-rays, photographs, and impressions/scans Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and treatment progress notes Place and remove orthodontic appliances under the direction of the Orthodontist Change archwires, elastics, coil springs, power chains, and other orthodontic components as directed Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations Monitor patient comfort and provide outstanding customer service throughout treatment Sterilize instruments and maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards Travel to multiple office locations throughout the DFW area according to the orthodontic schedule QualificationsRequired Active Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license Current CPR/BLS certification Minimum 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and adapt to different office environments Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between offices throughout DFW Preferred Spanish-speaking (bilingual) Experience with digital scanners and orthodontic software Strong organizational and time-management skills Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Monthly bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off Employee dental benefits Professional growth and development opportunities Mileage reimbursement for travel between office locations Why Join Our Team?
