Job Description

• Rolling out the red carpet for our new patients, recare patients and their parents by 
  • Having professional yet kid friendly verbal skills
  • Taking diagnostic radiographs
  • Prophying
  • Hand-scaling
  • Using the cavitron
  • Motivating our patients and parents to better oral hygiene
  • Explaining treatment to parents in a manner that fits their personality style. 
  • Charting appropriate dentition, existing treatment, caries, treatment planning and phasing treatment in Dentrix.
  • Taking intra-oral photos. 
  • Effectively communicating treatment recommended to the business team vía our protocol.
  • Administering local anesthesia to operative patients, applying sealants, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF).
  • Coaching any new dental assistants how to efficiently take diagnostic radiographs, coronal polish, and how to assist in operative treatment with our doctor (e.g. how to hold a suction, rinse, dry, pass instruments, etc).
  • You will be helping our office flow by guiding dental assistants and reminding our Doctor where to go to make the day run smoothly.
  • Eagerly helping out your clinical teammates in any way possible: office cleaning, sterilization, stocking, flipping chairs, writing up chart notes, and helping out our business team by answering and making phone calls as needed.
  • Educating our parents on restrictive tongue and lip ties. Our Doctor will train you in this area.
  • Eagerly assisting in any operative procedures as needed. 
  • Assisting in school oral hygiene programs.
  • Attending community marketing events outside of office hours (Examples: school fairs, sponsored booths, etc).
