Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring aseptic techniques are maintained at all times. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow seamlessly. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with experience in dental assisting and knowledge of dental terminology. Proficiency in EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments preferred. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; familiarity with medical imaging technology is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards to ensure compliance with privacy laws.
