Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care in a fast-paced dental office environment. Responsibilities: - Reviewing and updating medical history - Prepare patients for dental procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs - Take digital dental x-rays along with use of a digital intra-oral scanner - Educate patients on proper oral healthcare and treatment needed - Maintain accurate patient records; assist in scheduling Skills: - Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping - Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software - Knowledge of dental receptionist duties - Ability to perform patient assessments and use electronic health record systems - Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy - Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent infection - Competence in managing medical records and coding procedures - Strong background in dental assisting techniques - ability to fabricate chair side temporary crowns, use of intra-oral scanners, and great patient communication skills.
