Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly using infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage medical documentation by updating electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic accurately and efficiently. Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures using dental terminology, and addressing their questions to foster comfort and trust. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment following aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Collaborate with the dental team as a skilled dental receptionist when needed, managing appointment scheduling and patient flow seamlessly. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting duties. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge related to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while complying with HIPAA regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly using dental terminology. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus; certification in medical coding or medical terminology is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in general dentistry environments involving chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
