Duties Advanced Chairside Assisting : Anticipates the dentist's needs during complex surgical, cometic, and restorative procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Fabrication & Lab Work : Takes highly accurate alginate impressions to fabricate temporary crowns, bridges, and custom trays. Proficient stone pouring skills. Patient Education & Care : Explains complex treatment plans, answers surgical post-operative questions, and delivers personalized oral hygiene instructions. Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient information and treatment plans. Compliance & Sterilization : Enforces strict infection control protocols by managing the Chemiclave and Statim, monitoring OSHA compliance, and maintaining sterilization logs. Front-Office Cross-Coverage : Manages patient scheduling, answers phone calls, and coordinates reception tasks during peak administrative times. Clinical & Anatomical Knowledge : Possesses deep expertise in dental systems, oral anatomy, and medical terminology to support accurate treatment delivery. Administrative & Clinical Documentation : Maintains precise patient chart notes, meticulous logs for sterilization cycles, and accurate tracking for supply inventory and lab cases.
