Overview Our office is looking for a registered dental hygienist for 2 days a week in our wonderful dental practice. We are looking for applicants with great communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a positive attitude. You will be playing a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health in our relationship-based practice. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while supporting the overall workflow of our modern dental practice. Our office offers digital equipment including Dexis digital radiographs, Dentrix dental software, intraoral camera imaging, and Itero model scanning for improved patient education. Your dedication will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued, informed, and confident in their oral health journey. Our goal is to help you grow both personally and professionally while improving the smiles of our local community. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe and effective treatment. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive care measures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health. Operate dental equipment including digital radiography, intraoral cameras, and Dentrix dental software for accurate documentation. Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures aligned with HIPAA regulations. Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing gentle care tailored to childrenâs needs and ensuring a positive experience for young patients. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in the designated region Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly with high attention to detail. Ability to review medical records accurately, document treatment details thoroughly, and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
