Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, and prosthodontic work using four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; accurately document treatment details and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental office setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with Eaglesoft. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, 3D scanner operation, and Dental imaging equipment. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport. Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required.
