Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fulton, NY

Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage electronic medical records using EMR system Carestack, ensuring accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans, and medical coding. Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a sterile clinical environment. Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during chairside assisting. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation with precision. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge is essential for effective communication and accurate record keeping. Preffered, Hands-on experience with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and infection control practices is required. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and the use of a 3D scanner will set candidates apart. Understanding of HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques ensures safe patient care.
