Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and digital radiography systems. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix , ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient privacy. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental terminology. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix ; knowledge of Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Skilled in taking X-rays, performing medical imaging procedures, and maintaining infection control protocols. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric patients to assist effectively across various specialties including endodontics and prosthodontics. Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques including aseptic procedures, chairside support, and patient communication.
