About Our Dental Office: We are a small, patient-focused dental practice with a calm, steady pace. Our patients appreciate a personal touch, and our team values kindness, organization, and consistency. This is not a high-volume or rushed dental office. We are looking for a friendly, reliable Dental Assistant who enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and supported in the clinical chair. Who This Position Is Great For: An experienced dental assistant looking for a calmer, more personal, and less chaotic office environment. Someone new to the dental field (or a recent assisting graduate) who enjoys hands-on learning, attention to detail, and working closely with people. Primary Responsibilities: Greet patients warmly, escort them to the treatment room, and get them comfortably settled. Assist the dentist during clinical procedures with efficient, attentive four-handed dentistry. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and safely. Set up, break down, and thoroughly sterilize treatment rooms and dental instruments according to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient clinical records and post-op instructions within our dental software. Keep clinical supply inventory organized and stock treatment rooms. Future Growth Opportunities: Cross-training in basic front desk tasks (scheduling, answering phones). Assisting with digital impressions or specialized clinical procedures. Ordering clinical supplies and managing inventory tracking. (These responsibilities are introduced gradually and only after success in the core clinical assisting role.) Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar software is also helpful. No dental office experience? We are entirely willing to train the right person who possesses a stellar attitude, a strong work ethic, and a natural care for people. (Must have Dental Assisting permit with Radiology Certification). Compensation & Schedule: Pay: Commensurate with experience. Entry-level / no dental experience: Typically on the lower end, with paid training. Experienced assistant / Open Dental proficiency: Higher end of our scale. Hours: 30â35 hours per week.
