Job Title: Dental Assistant (RDA or RDA Trainee) Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is open to both Registered Dental Assistants (RDA) and individuals who are eager to learn and grow into the position. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent patient care. For those not yet certified, we offer hands-on training and mentorship with our doctor to support you in obtaining your RDA credentials. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by certification level Ensure patients are comfortable and informed before, during, and after procedures Maintain accurate patient records and charting Provide post-operative instructions and patient education on oral hygiene Manage inventory of dental supplies and restock operatories as needed Support front office duties when required, including scheduling and patient communication Training & Learning Opportunities (for non-RDA candidates): Chairside assisting techniques and four-handed dentistry Proper sterilization and infection control standards Dental terminology and charting procedures Patient communication and care best practices Exposure to a wide range of dental procedures and technologies Qualifications: RDA license preferred, but not required for trainees Strong willingness to learn and grow in the dental field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor and positive attitude High school diploma or equivalent (required) What We Offer: On-the-job training and mentorship from an experienced dentist Support in obtaining RDA certification A positive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement If you are passionate about dentistry and eager to build a career in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply.
