Position Overview We are seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Biller / Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing medical/dental practice. This position combines front office responsibilities with dental insurance billing and accounts management. Dental billing experience is required. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong knowledge of dental insurance procedures, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Front Desk Reception Duties Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments. Check patients in and out efficiently. Verify patient demographics and insurance information. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Dental Billing Duties (Required) Submit dental insurance claims electronically and manually as needed. Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility. Follow up on unpaid, delayed, or denied claims. Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately. Resolve insurance discrepancies and appeals. Review treatment plans and explain insurance coverage to patients. Maintain accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and dental billing regulations. Prior authorizations and eligibility checks Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental billing experience required. Knowledge of dental insurance plans, claim submission, and accounts receivable management. Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar). Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a dental office setting. Familiarity with treatment planning and patient financial arrangements.
