You will handle both clinical and administrative tasks, making our office more efficient and pleasant for our patients! Responsibilities Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Take impressions and undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Assist with presenting and discussing treatment plans Skills Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Prior experience as dental assistant would be preferred Understanding of health & safety regulations Fantastic multi-tasker and is always one step ahead Well-organized and reliable Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills; Attention to detail Dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive chair-side care High school diploma; graduate from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset X-ray Certification (required) Qualifications Chairside assisting Dental terminology knowledge General dentistry skills HIPAA compliance knowledge High school diploma or GED Communication skills Computer skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount On-the-job training Paid time off Professional development assistance Profit sharing Uniform allowance Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Lansing, MI 48933: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
