Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Escanaba, MI
Zubke Family Dentistry is looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking dental assistant to join our team in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player, well organized, able to follow directions, and respect HIPPA, OSHA, and all office regulations. Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and digital radiography are required. Graduation from dental assisting course or experience is required. Responsibilities include: Welcome and seat patients, prepare them for treatment and ensure their comfort Collect and record patient medical and dental history and patient vital signs Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Set up, breakdown and disinfect operatories Take dental radiographs (x-rays) Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health Perform various office tasks as necessary Keep rooms clean and well stocked Assist dental hygienist with procedures as needed Job Type: Full-time Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
